ANOTHER RESIGNATION FROM THE ARMYAs the wave of resignations grows within the AKP, Ordu Provincial Chairman Selman Altaş has also resigned. In a statement, Altaş said:
"As of today, I have resigned from my position as the AK Party Ordu Provincial Chairman, which I took over with great honor and pride on April 11, 2023.
I thank God for granting me the honor of serving our Army during this time, and I offer my heartfelt gratitude to our President and Chairman, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, for his trust and support in me.
We are soldiers of a great and sacred cause. Although my role has changed today, I will continue to serve this cause tomorrow with the same love, the same faith, and the same determination. Because we know that this cause is carried out with a heartfelt effort, regardless of position or status.
I wholeheartedly thank all my comrades with whom I have walked this path, our women's and youth branches, our mayors, our members of parliament, and most importantly, my dear fellow citizens of Ordu who have always been by our side.
"May God make our unity and solidarity permanent," he said.
