A truck loaded with peppers crashed into an olive grove in Bursa, leaving one injured.

The accident occurred around 20:30 on the Bayırköy road connected to Orhangazi. The truck with the registration number 45 AKE 766, driven by Enis Akkılıç (32), who was travelling from Bayırköy towards Orhangazi, was unable to negotiate a bend and skidded into the olive grove on the side of the road. The truck, which drifted for approximately 40 metres, overturned.

Gendarmerie and paramedics were dispatched to the scene to rescue the driver trapped in the truck's cab. Enis Akkılıç was extricated from the vehicle and taken by ambulance to Orhangazi State Hospital.

Following the accident, approximately 10 tons of pepper were scattered across the olive grove. Gendarmerie teams have launched an investigation.
