They were excavating illegally and were caught by drones.

According to a statement from the Governor's Office, Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams took action upon receiving information that illegal excavations were being carried out in an area in the Kayapınar Neighborhood.

The teams filmed HS, ND, Ö.B. and Y.Y., who were engaged in illegal excavations, using a drone.

The suspects were caught red-handed with 2 scanning rods, 1 pickaxe, 2 shovels, 2 metal pipes, 6 canisters, 4 pairs of gloves and 21 various materials they used during the excavation.

During the examination of the excavation area, four pits were identified, the largest of which was 10 meters in diameter and 15 meters deep.

The procedures for the detained suspects are continuing.
