Car overturns in ditch in Elazığ: 2 dead, 3 seriously injured

The accident occurred in the Kulundere area of the Elazığ-Bingöl highway on Wednesday evening, July 16. According to reports, the car with license plate 23 AFR 271, driven by Serkan Çelik, overturned in a roadside ditch after the driver lost control.

2 People Died at the Scene

The vehicle was wrecked in the accident, and Birkan Çelik (9) and Kibar Çelik (34), who were in the car, died at the scene. Three people trapped in the vehicle were seriously injured. The injured were rescued by firefighters and taken to Karakoçan State Hospital for treatment.

Investigation Launched

Following the examination, the bodies of those who lost their lives were taken to the Fırat University Hospital morgue. Gendarmerie teams have launched a large-scale investigation into the accident.
