Barrier disaster in Mersin! Overturned and shattered: 1 dead

In the accident that occurred at night on the Mersin-Antalya D-400 highway, near the Taşucu Neighborhood borders of the Silifke district, the car with the registration number 33 VP 831, driven by 20-year-old Hasan Hüseyin Mavi, crashed into the steel barriers in the median strip after the driver lost control of the steering wheel.

Due to the impact, the car overturned and split in two, throwing the driver onto the road. Medical teams dispatched to the scene determined that Mavi had died. MMA (22), who was in the car, was injured and taken to the district state hospital for treatment.

Police, gendarmerie, and firefighters were dispatched to the scene following the accident, and Mavi's body was taken to the morgue after an examination. An investigation has been launched into the accident, which resulted in the car being totaled.
