World Judo Championship Winner Timur Arbuzov Met at Sochi Airport


Timur Arbuzov was met at the Sochi airport. He became the world champion in judo, the Krasnodar Territory Sports Ministry reports. The triumphant was surrounded by fans and media representatives, and treated to bread and salt.
Arbuzov won five victories in the tournament, without giving up a single point to his opponents. In the decisive match, he was stronger than the current world champion, Tato Grigalashvili.
The Kuban native is the first Russian world champion in the welterweight category in 16 years. He also became the first representative of Kuban to win the world championship in the weight category up to 81 kg.
Earlier, MK in Sochi wrote that two gold medals were won by the Chita residents at the Russian Judo Championship.
