The largest extreme park in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District will open in Salekhard on City Day

On City Day, the largest extreme park in the district, with an area of almost two thousand square meters, will open in Salekhard. This was announced during a live broadcast by the head of the district capital, Alexey Titovsky.
"Construction work is already 99% complete, sports equipment is fully equipped, sound and lighting are being installed. It will be possible to hold not only sports events here, but also musical and creative events. I am sure that the extreme park will become a new point of attraction for young people," Titovsky noted.
According to the Salekhard administration, more than a thousand teenagers in the city are involved in extreme sports. BMX cyclists, skateboarders, roller skaters, and parkour enthusiasts will be able to train in the new skate park. The site will have more than 30 structures designed for different levels of training: various ramps for skaters and BMX fans, acceleration slides of different heights. Some structures are equipped with foam pits so that beginners do not get injured while practicing their first tricks.
The opening of the sports facility is planned for City Day. Salekhard will celebrate its 430th anniversary on September 13.
Let us recall that Alexey Titovsky promised Salekhard residents a walking area on the site of the old “Prityazhenie” center.
