PSG and Botafogo advance to FIFA Club World Cup playoffs

France's Paris Saint-Germain and Brazil's Botafogo have secured their place in the knockout stages of the Club World Cup after completing the group stage of the tournament in the United States.
In the decisive round of Group B, PSG beat Seattle 2-0, thanks to a goal by Georgian midfielder Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Meanwhile, Botafogo lost 0-1 to Atletico Madrid. Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov spent the entire match on the bench.
After three rounds, PSG, Botafogo and Atletico have the same number of points (6). Thanks to better results in personal meetings, the French club topped the group, the Brazilians took second place, and the Spaniards took third. Seattle finished the performance without any points.
Bayern, Flamengo, Manchester City and Juventus also previously reached the playoffs. The 1/8 final matches are scheduled for June 28 – July 1.
Let us recall that 32 teams participate in the tournament, divided into 8 groups. The two best clubs from each four advance to the next round. The final of the World Club Championship will be held on July 13.
