Weightlifter from Kamenskovo sets Russian record

The Vladimir Region Weightlifting Championship was held in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. 300 athletes from 53 regions of the Russian Federation took part in the competition. As reported by the regional Ministry of Sports, Ilya Iudin from Kamenskovo won a gold medal in the clean and jerk, second place in the snatch, and gold in the biathlon, lifting a total of 337 kg. In the clean and jerk, Ilya broke the Russian record - 186 kg.

Besides him, another weightlifter, Nikita Sutulov, represented the honor of the Vladimir region. In total, according to the White House, about 3,000 people in different age groups are involved in weightlifting in the region.
