Servicemen and employees of the Russian National Guard won medals at the Victory Cup


At the Victory Cup among special forces, which was held as part of the 17th International Festival of Mountain Extreme Sports Red Fox Elbrus Race, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory, servicemen and employees of the Russian National Guard won six medals.
Instructor of physical training and sports of the 1st category of the sports team under the management of the North Caucasian Order of Zhukov district of the Russian Guard, Senior Lieutenant Sergei Usoltsev took second place in the speed ascent of Elbrus.
"This is the third time he has successfully completed this task. Based on the results of previous years' performances, Sergei also took prize places," the press service of the Russian Guard reported.
According to the winner, this race was tough for him. But he managed to improve on last year's result and finish 33 minutes faster. Tempo and strength training helped him with this.
After the competition, representatives of the Russian National Guard honored the memory of the defenders of Elbrus by laying flowers at the highest mountain memorial dedicated to the war heroes.
Earlier it was reported that athletes from Vladivostok and Austria set two new records on Elbrus.
