Kursk fencer brings bronze to Russia at European Championship


Vladislav Mylnikov from Kursk won a bronze medal as part of the Russian national team at the European Fencing Championships in Genoa. Together with his team – Alexander Kerik, Anton and Kirill Borodachev – he demonstrated outstanding skill. This was reported by Alexander Khinshtein on his Telegram channel.
On the way to the podium, our athletes confidently beat the teams of Great Britain (45:30) and Hungary (45:38). In the semi-finals, the Russians lost to the hosts of the tournament, the Italians (40:45), but in the match for third place they crushed Belgium with a score of 45:28.

"Vladislav Mylnikov has once again confirmed his status as one of the strongest foil fencers not only in Russia, but also in the world. An Honored Master of Sports, silver medalist of the Tokyo Olympic Games, he continues to represent our country and the Kursk region with honor in the most prestigious international arenas," Alexander Khinshtein noted on his Telegram channel.
