Heavy rain with thunderstorms and hail could disrupt life support in 3 regions of the Caucasus

The Russian Emergencies Ministry warns of possible disruptions in the life support of the population in three regions of the North Caucasus Federal District (NCFD) on Tuesday, June 24, due to expected showers and thunderstorms. The relevant information is posted on the official website of the department.
“On June 24, there is a risk of emergency situations arising related to interruptions in the operation of life support systems, damage to communication and power lines, as well as traffic difficulties in the republics of Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria and Stavropol Krai,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a statement.
The agency's specialists note that the possible causes of emergencies will be heavy rains with thunderstorms and hail, as well as squally winds with gusts of up to 25 meters per second.
Earlier, another Russian city suffered from powerful hail.
