Body of architect missing after Lady Gaga concert found

A body with the characteristics of architect Igor Sousa, who had disappeared on April 4 after entering the sea in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, was found near the Cagarras Islands on the morning of this Saturday, the 10th. He and his partner, Wesley Danilo, had been in the city to watch the singer Lady Gaga's show - the performance took place the day before the disappearance.

The information that a body was found was passed on by the Military Fire Department of the State of Rio de Janeiro (CBMERJ), which is still awaiting official confirmation from the Legal Medical Institute (IML) about the identity of the victim. Igor's boyfriend, however, confirmed to the portal “g1” that the body found is that of the architect.

On social media, Igor had already shared moments in Rio de Janeiro during another trip to the region, made in September of last year. Including, on Copacabana Beach, where he disappeared. In a video made from inside an airplane, the architect says goodbye to the state with the caption: “Rio gave everything. I want it again.”

After the official confirmation of the identity, made by the IML, the fire department must release a statement, ending the search.
