The Ílhavo Maritime Museum celebrates its 88th anniversary this Friday with a program that runs through Sunday. During a weekend packed with activities, the museum offers an exhibition dedicated to women, science, and ocean conservation, a piano concert, a children's show, and a creative workshop dedicated to the exhibition "Azul em Festa." On Friday, at 6 p.m., the temporary exhibition "The Sea as an Object: Women, Science, and the Other Side of the Ocean" will open. The exhibition features a set of 14 photographs by Aníbal Lemos, director of the São João da Madeira Arts Center, depicting women who have developed their academic and professional lives around the study of the ocean and the Portuguese sea.
