The Dow Jones rose 0.63 percent to 44,094.77 points, the S&P 500 rose 0.52 percent to 6,204.95 points and the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.47 percent to 20,369.73 points.

Twenty-two of the 30 companies on the Dow Jones index rose. The leader of the gains was Goldman Sachs (+2.44%), while Boeing (-2.36%) lost. Nine of the 11 main sectors of the S&P 500 had a successful session, led by information technology (+0.98%). This was due to Canada's announcement that it would withdraw from plans to introduce a digital tax that would hit American giants. There was also an announcement that trade negotiations with the US would resume.

Talks are also underway with other partners, including the European Union. Bloomberg reports that Brussels is leaning toward accepting Donald Trump's tariffs, but intends to demand their easing in key sectors. The tariff suspension is in effect until July 9.

After rising 0.61%, Meta, the owner of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, posted a new closing record of $738.09. The company's CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, announced an acceleration in recruiting AI experts.

Monday's session was the last in the second quarter of 2025. The Dow Jones rose by almost 5% during these three months, the S&P 500 by over 10%, and the Nasdaq Composite by almost 18%.

The yield on the 10-year Treasury note fell four basis points to 4.24% ahead of several important readings due later this week. The most important one could be Thursday's jobs report.

WTI crude futures fell 0.7% to $65.04 a barrel, while Brent crude fell 0.21% to $67.63 a barrel. Spot gold rose 1% to $3,308.41 an ounce.

Shares of the trading platform Robinhood, which announced that it will introduce a service for trading tokens reflecting American stocks, ended the session with a 12.77% increase to $93.63 . Initially, the offer will include more than 200 of the most liquid companies on Wall Street.
