A Swedish group has launched a large photovoltaic farm in Poland.

This is a breakthrough moment for OX2 , which is implementing its first project as an independent power producer (IPP).

The 100 MW Rutki farm is the first IPP project implemented by OX2 in Poland and in the entire OX2 group.

The farm is covered by a 15-year Contract for Difference (CfD) under an agreement with the Energy Regulatory Office. Rutki will produce approximately 108 GWh of electricity per year.

The investment is located on an area of ​​78 hectares, in the Opole Voivodeship.

- The start of energy production by the Rutki farm is a breakthrough moment for OX2, as it is the foundation of the company's new business model as an independent energy producer. We are convinced that this project opens up new opportunities for us and strengthens our position in the renewable energy market - says Tomasz Guzowski, president of OX2 Polska.

The photovoltaic farm in Rutki is one of the largest investments of this type in southern Poland . OX2, in cooperation with the Niemodlin commune, undertakes a number of activities aimed at residents.

The company financed the purchase of over 50 new hydrants, which were installed throughout the commune, significantly improving fire safety. At the company's initiative, the playground in Gracze was also modernized.

OX2 is a renewable energy developer, investing in wind farms, photovoltaic farms and energy storage facilities . The total portfolio of projects in development, construction, management and operation amounts to approximately 33 GW.

OX2 operates in nine markets across Europe and Australia . The company is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. OX2 is owned by EQT, one of the world's largest private equity investors.
