Del Toro closes a great year

Isaac del Toro rode solo to the finish line of the Giro del Veneto. The Mexican cyclist raised his arms and shouted in the air as he completed the 161.2 kilometers of the competition, earning his sixteenth victory of the year.

A perfect finish, as in addition to racking up victories, he climbed to third place in the International Cycling Union rankings, behind Slovenian Tadej Pogacar and Swede Jonas Vingegaard.

Isaac rode for 3 hours, 24 minutes, and 29 seconds. He rode solo for the final 10 kilometers of the Giro del Veneto, leaving behind Pavel Sivakov and Jonas Abrahamsen, second and third on the podium, respectively.

Under the Italian sun, Isaac del Toro concluded his competitive year, one that saw him grow since he won the oldest European classic, Milan-Turin, in the spring. There, he not only became the first Mexican to reach the top of the podium, but also achieved his first victory, the first of 16.
