América proved to be a serious contender for the 2025 Apertura title of the Liga MX Femenil. Las Águilas defeated Atlas 3-2 in a thrilling matchday 16 match, with Mexican forward Kiana Palacios becoming the club's all-time leading scorer.
In the match played at Jalisco Stadium, Coapa's team dominated from the start, constantly attacking the opponent's box. Alexa Soto opened the scoring in the 29th minute, taking advantage of a through ball from Angelique Saldívar to finish with a low shot.

In the second half, Palacios led the Eagles to victory by scoring a brace to become the club's top scorer with 87 goals.
In the Concacaf Champions' Cup, Pachuca drew 1-1 with the Orlando Pride and advanced to the semifinals, after finishing second in Group A.
