Football, ex-Serie A Pettinari is the new technical director of La Querce

Leonardo Pettinari
Prato, 10 May 2025 – Leonardo Pettinari is the new technical director of La Querce. This was announced by the management of the Prato club that just a few weeks ago achieved salvation in Group F of the Second Category. The former Prato midfielder born in 1986 managed to play seven seasons as a professional player before hanging up his boots prematurely, also having the luxury of making his Serie A debut with Atalanta in 2011. A midfielder who, after having established himself in Serie B with the Orobici and Cittadella, was also making his way into the top division, until 2012 when he was diagnosed with a heart defect .
He was thus forced to retire from playing football the following year, before he turned twenty-seven. However, he never sat idly by and the relationship with his first club never ended: the club chaired by Vinicio Nucciarelli had named the football school after him and Pettinari had acted as a “bridge” for the affiliation with Cittadella announced a few weeks ago. In his new role, the former Serie A player will be supported by coach Lorenzo Bonaiuti for the football school and by mister Alessio Onorari for the youth sector.
