Sky TV rival confirms huge UK boost with more content homes can watch for free
Sky's Stream box is one of the best ways to tune into premium TV without the need for a dish stuck to the chimney. This device simply connects to your Wi-Fi and offers instant access to endless hours of shows, movies and sports. As you can read in our Sky Stream review, it's a top-rated device, but homes wanting one will need to pay a monthly fee, with prices starting from £15.
If that sounds a bit rich, there is another option. The recently released Pleio puck is powered by Freely - that's a service that offers access to a wide range of live TV channels for free.
Pleio also comes with access to other streaming services, apps from the Google Play Store and a swathe of games (over 200 to be exact). Now that library of entertainment is getting a boost thanks to more free FAST channels being added along with extra games play.
Netgem, who makes the Pleio device, says the update includes games such as NBA Bounce, Backpack Hero, Dome Keeper, Gigantosaurus: Dino Kart, and The Patrick Star Game.
The new free FAST Channels that have been added, include The Osbournes, Baby Shark TV, Adrenaline+, and Unbeaten.
Pleio is priced at £99 from stores including Amazon. Those buying one also get access to a year of extra channels along with cloud games for free. Once that initial 12 month period ends, the channels and games then cost £9.99 per month.
Those not wanting to pay that fee, still get access to Freely which includes over 50 live channels and hours of on-demand shows.
