Corendon Hotels & Resorts to make significant investments in Sports and Sports Tourism in 2024
Corendon Hotels & Resorts, not only attracted attention with its investments in both football and tennis throughout 2024, but also stands out not only in the hotel industry but also with its fields and courts offering world-class service. Located in Kundu, where numerous teams have been hosted, the Corendon Football Center has provided training and accommodation facilities to dozens of teams from Türkiye and abroad in less than a year. With ever-increasing demand, the Corendon Football Center is increasing teams' interest in the region while also contributing to Antalya's sports tourism.
Corendon Tennis Club Kemer, which opened on April 5, 2024, has hosted numerous national and international events. Located in the Bey Mountains, Corendon Tennis Club Kemer offers a natural setting, 14 clay courts, an outdoor fitness area, the Corendon Club Cafe, warm-up areas, a tennis wall, individual and group lessons with instructors, court rentals, and 12-month memberships available throughout the region. With the spring and fall clay court season, season dates are extended, and tennis academies from Turkey, the UK, Europe, and CIS countries are frequently hosted, providing the climatic conditions required for sports tourism.
Corendon Tennis Club Kemer quickly gained recognition, hosting the "Turkish Bowl" tournament in its first year as part of a collaboration with the international Ten Pro Global Junior Tour, headquartered in the Netherlands. This tournament introduced athletes from approximately 50 countries across five continents to the region. Following the success of its first year, the second Ten Pro Turkish Bowl was held again in April this year. The tournament, which will be held again in April in 2026, was extended to three weeks due to strong interest.
Located just five minutes from tennis courts, the Corendon Playa Kemer hotel has increased its recognition in these markets by offering a combination of tennis and accommodation to tennis academies in countries such as the UK, Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, and Russia. The new hotel, opening in Kemer in 2026, will also host sports groups with accommodation.
Investments That Add Value to Sports, Nature, and the Region
Expressing his thoughts at the event, Corendon Tourism Group Chairman Yıldıray Karaer said, “The most important insight we've gained through over 30 years of experience in tourism is this: Lasting success is measured not only by guest satisfaction, but also by the value you add to your region. This investment is not just about building facilities; it's part of our vision to spread sports to the grassroots, revitalize the region, and expand tourism throughout the year. Every step you take in Türkiye is closely monitored by the global tourism sector. With this approach, we will continue to develop exemplary practices that consider not only the present but also the future.”
Birgül Akgül, Corendon Hotels & Resorts' Corporate Communications and Marketing Director, said, “As a communications and marketing professional, I've always been very aware of the power of the press. I'm delighted to see this value embraced in the same way within the Corendon Hotels family. Today, we're not just sharing breakfast; we're also sharing important developments that will contribute to Turkish tourism. Our new beachfront hotel in Kemer, set to open in 2026 and boasting the region's largest aqua park, is a prime example of this vision. In 2024, we began making investments in our sports facilities, including football and tennis, that will add value to the region. As Corendon Hotels, we will continue to develop projects that focus on both guest satisfaction and regional development in Türkiye's popular regions.”
Corendon Tennis Club Kemer started hosting National Tournaments in 2025
Following the successes in the Winter Cup Türkiye Series in February and the 14-Year-Old National Team Determination tournaments in May, Corendon will host the Türkiye Individual Master's Championship to be held from October 27 to November 9.
Corendon to Organize Its Own International Tennis Tournament
Another international tournament scheduled for November is the Corendon International Juniors Cup. This tournament, designed to host competitions between local and international athletes and introduce young athletes to the region, aims to establish a new tournament series under the Corendon brand.
