Giant Festival in UNESCO Heritage Cappadocia: Chinese and Turkish Art Take the Same Stage

The eighth stop of the Turkish Culture Route Festival, launched by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to take place in 20 cities this year, will be Cappadocia, a UNESCO World Heritage site in the heart of Anatolia. The festival, which runs from August 2nd to 10th, will be hosted by the Chinese Embassy on August 2nd. The ceremony, which will showcase Chinese culture with colorful performances, will also feature entertaining music, dance, and workshops by Chinese artists.

This year's 8th leg of the Turkey Culture Route Festival , which was launched by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in April and is not only Turkey's but also the world's most comprehensive and largest festival, will be held in Nevşehir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site , and the Cappadocia region, the apple of the eye of the country's tourism.

The festival will be hosted by the 'Chinese Embassy'!

The giant festival, which has been held in seven cities from Adana to Urfa, Trabzon to Van, with the aim of increasing the brand value of the cities and turning each one into a cultural and artistic center of attraction, will open in Nevşehir on August 2, hosted by the Chinese Embassy.

Chinese artists will hold music, dance and workshop events at the opening

The opening day, which will be attended by prominent representatives from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Chinese Embassy, will feature speeches by Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy and Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Ankara Jiang Xuebin . Speeches will be followed by a Chinese Tea Ceremony, a Chinese Dance and Sema Performance, and a concert of Kanun and Guzheng music. Following the event, the exhibition opening will be followed in the evening by a Turkish Night at the Award-Winning Yaşar Baba Cave.

The August 3rd program will highlight a Chinese Tea Making Workshop and a Chinese Calligraphy Art Workshop. Following the workshops, the event will continue with Kültür University's Fashion Event.

The city that brings together civilizations will host dozens of events

This year, the giant festival, which will be held in a total of 20 cities and will continue to bring culture and art to a wide audience for 8 months, will bring a Chinese breeze to the Cappadocia region, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Events in Cappadocia, one of the most important historical heritage sites that showcase Türkiye to the world, will offer an opportunity to showcase the cultural heritage of Nevşehir and the region within an artistic framework. The city's historic atmosphere, home to a multitude of civilizations, will host a wide range of events, from concerts and exhibitions to theater, opera, and ballet performances, talks and workshops, children's activities, and digital arts.
