Minister Yerlikaya provided the following information about the operations: "As a result of the work carried out by the Public Prosecutor's Office and the Public Security Department of the General Directorate of Security, and the Public Security Branch Directorates of the Provincial Police Departments; it was determined that the suspects who were caught in the operations organized in Adana, Antalya, Balıkesir, Bayburt, Çanakkale, Diyarbakır, Düzce, Elazığ, Eskişehir, İstanbul, İzmir, Kırklareli, Kırıkkale, Nevşehir, Osmaniye, Sakarya and Tunceli defrauded our citizens by introducing themselves as public officials, sold fake and low-carat gold to jewelers and sold products with fake advertisements on social media platforms. Assets belonging to the suspects worth approximately 114 million TL were seized. I congratulate our governors, the Public Prosecutor's Offices who coordinated the operations and the heroic police officers who carried out the operations. Together with your security forces, we continue our fight against criminal networks and illegal structures that defraud our citizens."
