They tortured him by feeding him insects because he wanted his salary! The desired punishment has been announced.

Vedat Kurt came from the Suruç district of Şanlıurfa to the industrial site in Antalya's Kepez district in 2020 to work. After working there for about 10 months, Kurt allegedly began receiving incomplete pay. After repeatedly receiving a negative response from his employer, Kurt took 15,000 lira from his employer's desk, in exchange for the 70,000 lira he was owed, and went to Istanbul. Unable to reach Kurt, the business owners contacted his family. Kurt's brothers then told him to return the money.
FED INSECTSAfter returning to Antalya and returning the 15,000 lira he had taken to the shop owners, Vedat Kurt was allegedly tied to a chair and locked in a warehouse by AT, OT, ST, and AA. Kurt was subjected to various tortures for three days, his teeth were broken, his body was cut, he was made to lie with his hands and arms tied, and he was forced to eat cockroaches with his mouth held open.
The suspects also recorded their actions with their cell phones. Noticing that Vedat Kurt's condition was deteriorating while they were locked in the warehouse, the suspects allegedly waited for his injuries to heal. Kurt, who continued working at the same workplace, fled with photos from the suspects' cell phone of the torture. Vedat Kurt later filed a complaint against the suspects.
The four defendants, who were not in custody, appeared before the Antalya 6th High Criminal Court for the 14th time. At the hearing, the defendants' lawyers denied the charges. The prosecutor's office, in its opinion, considered the defendants' actions to fall under the crimes of "aggravated plunder" and "deprivation of liberty," and sought prison sentences of up to 20 years each.
"I WAS SUBJECTED TO TORTURE UNTIL THE MORNING"
Vedat Kurt, who described the torture he endured as unimaginable, said, "I was tortured by four people. As seen in the photos, I was made to eat cockroaches. I was tied up in a hogtie and tortured until dawn. They held me hostage for months to prevent me from filing a complaint, waiting for my wounds to heal. They didn't even take me to the hospital; they tried to cover the marks by smearing wound-healing ointments and medications bought from pharmacies. They kept me under observation until there were no signs of assault, and then they released me. By the time they released me, I had no evidence left."
Kurt said, "The hearings have been going on for years. It's the 14th hearing, and the public prosecutor has delivered his opinion. He specifically requested that they be punished for the crime of 'deprivation of liberty.' My demands are not for revenge for what happened to me; they are for these people to receive the punishment they deserve and for similar incidents to be prevented from happening to others."
"JUSTICE WILL BE DONE"Demanding the harshest punishment for the defendants, Kurt said, "I witnessed firsthand the pain my mother endured and the devastation it brought. I want this case to be a lesson and for no mother's child to experience such a thing. I believe that justice will be served, and I trust in the justice system of the Republic of Turkey. I hope our requests are accepted, and no family will ever experience such pain again." Following the statements, the court adjourned the hearing.
