US ends Delta-Aeromexico partnership

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has issued a final order terminating the joint venture between Delta Air Lines and Aeromexico, which has been in operation since 2017. The order will take effect on January 1, 2026.

Delta reacted to the decision, stating, "This Department's decision will cause serious harm to travelers, businesses, and communities between the US and Mexico." The company stated that it is reviewing the order and evaluating next steps.

Delta emphasized that all flights will continue as normal until the official termination date.
