The Ministry of National Defense admitted that two soldiers were martyred because they were kept waiting in the sun!

The Ministry of National Defense released a statement regarding the forensic reports of the soldiers who were martyred at the İskenderun Naval Training Regiment Command on July 25, 2025. The Ministry of National Defense stated, "It has been determined that the deaths of our martyred personnel occurred as a result of 'hyperthermia' and its complications resulting from prolonged exposure to sunlight."
The Ministry's statement included the following statements:
The process regarding our martyrs who lost their lives on July 25, 2025, at the İskenderun Naval Training Regiment Command was carried out with great sensitivity, and the administrative investigation and forensic medicine reports were completed.
In the report of the Forensic Medicine Institution, it was concluded that the deaths of our martyred personnel occurred as a result of "the increase in body temperature (hyperthermia) and its complications due to prolonged exposure to the sun."
In this context, administrative and disciplinary proceedings are ongoing against personnel who are considered to have committed an intentional act, fault or negligence in the incident.
The judicial process regarding the issue is being carried out by the İskenderun Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
