New move from YouTube: It will select the most effective moments

This tool, called “Peak Points,” will make it possible to show ads during the most watched and most engaged moments of videos.
Based on Google’s Gemini AI model, the system will identify the moments when a video’s audience engagement is highest. YouTube aims to increase viewership and impact by placing their ads at these strategic moments.
IT WILL BE ACTIVE IN THE MOST WATCHED PLACESYouTube introduced the new feature at a special event celebrating its 20th anniversary on Wednesday. The company said in a blog post the same day that the ad placement would be done immediately after the highlight moments of the video.
According to the example given; during a romantic marriage proposal made on the summit of a snowy mountain, an advertisement can be broadcast immediately after the groom asks "Will you marry me?" Such moments of intense interest will now be considered as "peak points" for advertising.
WILL ANALYZE YOUR SHIP AND CHOOSE THE RIGHT POINTSThe company emphasized that they took this step in order to maximize YouTube's advertising potential. The Gemini model will use an algorithm that analyzes videos based not only on viewing rates but also on user interaction.
This innovation is also in line with Alphabet’s overall strategy. Alphabet, the parent company of Google and YouTube, is investing heavily in the growth of artificial intelligence. The $75 billion investment plan announced last month is among the steps taken in this direction.
YouTube's ad revenues increased by 10 percent in the first quarter of 2025, with the company generating around 8 billion euros (346.7 billion TL). This figure does not include YouTube's revenue from subscriptions.
