Former actor Ahmet Fırat was found dead in his home

In the evening hours, one of the residents of a three-storey apartment building on 140th Street in Yalı Neighbourhood, Karasu, noticed that a person had been sitting motionless for a long time on the balcony of the apartment opposite when he went down to ventilate the apartment downstairs.

The citizen, who became suspicious of the situation, called the 112 Emergency Call Center and reported the incident. Health, police and fire teams arrived at the scene in a short time and determined that the person on the balcony was motionless.

HE LIVED ALONE AND WAS FOUND DEAD ON HIS BALCONY

In the initial checks carried out by the teams, it was determined that Ahmet Fırat, who was living alone in the house, had died. There were no signs of life. In order to determine the exact cause of Fırat's death, his body was sent to the Karasu State Hospital morgue and then to the Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy.

Police teams, who created a security cordon at the scene, conducted an examination of the apartment. According to initial findings, no traces of assault or cutting tools were found on Fırat's body. While it was assessed that the cause of death could be due to a sudden health problem or natural causes, an investigation was launched into the incident.
