A Celebration Befitting May 19 from Kartal Municipality: A Holiday Full of Sports and Art

Sports during the day, Symphony in the evening: Festive excitement in Kartal on May 19th Kartal Municipality organized various events to celebrate the 106th anniversary of the date when Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk landed in Samsun and started the War of Independence in a way befitting his glory.
The celebrations will begin on Monday, May 19 at 12:30 with the “Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Festival” to be held at Karlıktepe Sports Park. Young people will both compete and have fun in the festival, which will take place in 3x3 basketball, foot tennis and volleyball branches. This sports-filled event will last until 17:30.
In the evening, the excitement will give way to the magic of art. The Kartal Municipality's traditional Lantern Procession, which will start from Kartallı Kazım Square at 20:00, will be crowned with the "Atatürk Commemoration, Youth and Sports Day Concert" to be held at Kartal Square at 21:00.
The concert will feature the Kartal Municipality Art Academy Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the famous violinist Cihat Aşkın will perform under the direction of conductor Hakan Şensoy. Burcu Hancı will accompany the concert as a soloist, while the Kartal Bahçeşehir College Orchestra will also be on stage, providing Kartal residents with an unforgettable holiday joy.

Kartal Mayor Gökhan Yüksel also invited the people of Kartal to the events organized specifically for the 106th year and expressed the following;

May 19 is not only a day of commemoration; it is also a blessed day when the spirit of freedom, hope and solidarity is revived. We will meet on the fields during the day with the unifying power of sports and in the squares at night with the universality of art.
