The House administration, which is trying to stay afloat by relying on the US and Trump 's regional policies, has mobilized all its resources to please the White House.
While Devlet Bahçeli, the junior partner who bluffed against Israel's massacres in Gaza, is proposing an alliance between Turkey, Russia, and China, President Erdoğan will knock on Trump's door on September 25. In his statement on the matter, Trump said that negotiations regarding Turkey's purchase of F-35 fighter jets from the US would continue and noted that he "expects a positive outcome" on this issue.
Trump's statement listed the sale of "a large number" of Boeing aircraft and F-16 fighter jets as other items on the table. CHP Chairman Özgür Özel also claimed that Erdoğan recently met with the US President's son, Trump Jr., and promised to purchase 300 Boeing aircraft in exchange for a meeting with the US President. The gestures towards the US continued ahead of the meeting between AKP President Erdoğan and US President Trump. With a regulation published in the Official Gazette yesterday, customs duties imposed on the US were lifted. Products previously subject to additional taxes included alcoholic beverages, automobiles, makeup, and tobacco. The regulation, which went into effect with Erdoğan's signature, ended the additional tax imposed by a Council of Ministers decision in 2018. It was stated that the decision was made within the scope of the relevant legal provisions. Products subject to additional financial obligations included alcoholic beverages, automobiles, makeup, and tobacco.

According to a statement released by the US on the White House website on July 31st, the current "reciprocal tariff" rate applied to Turkey is 15%. However, the Washington administration has not made any announcement regarding the removal of this tariff. US President Donald Trump , in a statement on his Truth Social account, stated that a large-scale Boeing aircraft sales agreement would be on the agenda during the meeting. It was also noted that the F-16 agreement and the F-35 program would also be discussed. In his post, Trump said, "We have always had a very good relationship with Erdoğan. I can't wait to see him on the 25th."
MINING CLAIMMeanwhile, it was claimed that mining diplomacy would also be pursued at the Washington summit. According to Sözcü, Trump, seeking to break free from dependence on China, will reportedly raise the Eskişehir reserves in his meeting with Erdoğan. The report included the following statements: “During the Trump-Erdoğan meeting, Türkiye’s rare earth elements (REEs) emerged as one of the most important trade topics to be discussed. This issue, dubbed ‘Trump’s big deal’ in Washington circles, is at the very heart of the US’s quest to break free from its China-dependent mineral supply chains.”
A PLANE WILL BE PURCHASEDÖzgür Özel's claims of purchasing the aircraft were also supported by a Bloomberg report. According to Bloomberg, "It's only a matter of time before a deal is reached between Turkey and the US for up to 250 commercial passenger jets and dozens of F-16 fighter jets. According to sources, the possibility of a return to the F-35 program will also be on the agenda during the meeting between Erdoğan and US President Donald Trump."
