Our Favorite TVs Are Heavily Discounted For Labor Day

We get that Labor Day is the last gasp of summer. That used to mean wearing white for the last time. Now it's firing the grill up before it's covered and spending as much time outdoors near a body of water as possible. Come October, though, you'll be begging us to find you a TV that will entertain you and your kids for the rest of the fall and winter. Our advice is to do the shopping early and you aren't going to find better prices on 4K TVs than Labor Day weekend.

Some of our favorite editor tested and reviewed TVs are seeing major discounts on Amazon and other retailers this week leading up to the holiday weekend. Both the Samsung Frame and the Hisense CanvasTV, our two favorite TVs that can double as art pieces, are over 30 percent off. The 55-inch Frame is knocked down from $1,500 to $900 and the same sized CanvasTV is down to $700 from $1,000. If you want something even more experimental, you can save $300 off the $1,500 rotating Samsung Sero. I've seen that one in person and it's really something special.

But If you just want a regular 4K TV for a reasonable price, there are a few of those too. Our top recommendation is the TCL QM6K Mini-LED. Amazon currently has it discounted from $600 down to $447 for a 55-inch TV, which we feel like is the sweet spot for terms of price and size. Plus we can vouch for the longevity of TCL TVs firsthand.
