Statement from the Ministry of Health regarding the dental treatment of a child patient in Istanbul

In a statement made on the Ministry's social media account called "Ministry of Health Healthy Solution", it was reported that following posts on social media regarding a child's dental treatment process, the issue was examined in detail by the relevant units.

"After the evaluation made by the specialist physician at the health institution where our child patient applied for dental treatment, an appropriate treatment plan was made and the family was directed to the necessary branch." The statement stated that the family was contacted and the patient was invited back to the relevant institution so that the treatment process could continue in a healthy manner.

In the statement, it was noted that the process regarding the issue was closely followed in all its aspects and the following statements were made:

"Within the scope of protective, preventive and therapeutic oral and dental health services, oral and dental health services were provided to 4 million 979 thousand 550 children in our country and 502 thousand 824 children in Istanbul in 2024. In the first 6 months of 2025, oral and dental health services were provided to 2 million 608 thousand 593 children in our country and 315 thousand 61 children in Istanbul. The health and safety of our children is the priority of all health services. The most appropriate treatment for each patient is planned in line with the evaluations of our specialist physicians and our families are regularly informed. It is strongly requested that our citizens only rely on official statements against content that may mislead the public."
