US oil rig count declines - August 23, 2025

The number of oil rigs in the US decreased by 1 this week.

Oilfield services company Baker Hughes released its weekly data.

Accordingly, the number of oil drilling rigs in the country decreased by 1 to 411 between August 16-22 compared to the previous week.

The number of oil drilling rigs in the US has decreased by 72 in the last year.

The price of a barrel of Brent crude, which closed at $67.13 on Thursday, closed at $67.32 on Friday.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil closed at $63.66 per barrel on Friday.

A barrel of WTI crude oil closed Thursday at $63.39.
