The arbitration board met incompletely: A schedule for civil servant raises has been set.

The Public Officials Arbitration Board convened for the first time to determine civil servant raises. Nine members attended the meeting, which outlined the work schedule, procedures, and principles.

The 8th Term Collective Agreement negotiations, which would determine the raises to be given to civil servants and retired civil servants in 2026 and 2027, ended in disagreement.

The government's final offer, rejected by the unions, was as follows:

• For 2026, 11 percent for the first six months and 7 percent for the second six months
• ​For 2027, 4 percent for the first six months and 4 percent for the second six months
• A 1000 lira increase in the base salary for 2026

The government applied to the Public Officials Arbitration Board, which consists of 11 members, yesterday.

The board met for the first time today.

The United Public Workers' Union (United Public Workers' Union), which has one member on the board, did not send a member to the meeting. The two-member Memur-Sen union attended with one member.

Members left their mobile phones outside the meeting room for security reasons.

The meeting, which lasted approximately two hours, discussed and finalized the board's work schedule, procedures, and principles. The board will hold its second meeting tomorrow at 11:00 a.m.

The board must make a decision within five days. The decision will be final and cannot be appealed.
