Fire breaks out on a bus in Sultangazi

The fire broke out around 4:00 PM on the Old Edirne Asphalt Road in the Sultangazi area. According to reports, a fire broke out in the engine compartment of a bus used as a personnel shuttle belonging to a private company. The driver, who stopped the bus with no passengers on the side of the road, notified the 112 Emergency Call Center. Numerous firefighters, police, and paramedics were dispatched to the scene upon notification. Police teams took security measures in the area and closed the road towards Topkapı to traffic. Firefighters began working to extinguish the blaze. Tram services were temporarily suspended as a precaution. The fire, which engulfed the entire bus, was extinguished by firefighters. No one was killed or injured while the firefighters extinguished the fire, reducing the bus to a pile of iron. Tram services, which had been temporarily suspended, returned to normal, and the road, which had been closed to traffic, was reopened. An investigation into the cause of the fire has been launched.
