Secret price hike for meat before Eid

The Meat and Milk Institution (ESK), which is an important option for low-income citizens with its affordable meat supply, has increased the prices of minced meat. The price of minced meat per kilogram in the institution's own stores increased from 320 TL to 335 TL.

In the markets that are members of the Retailers Association (PERDER), to which ESK provides cheap meat in order to reduce the market, this figure increased from 410 TL to 430 TL.

NO OFFICIAL STATEMENT HAS COME

The fact that the price hikes coincided with the holiday season made it even harder for citizens who were having financial difficulties. While consumers wanted the decision to be reviewed, there was no official statement from the ESK.
