Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality to hold tender for 150 taxis: Deadline for applications is September 1

In a statement made by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM ), it was stated that 150 more taxis will be included in the system in the second tender to be held on September 2nd, and that the application deadline for those who want to participate in the tender is September 1st.
In the statement, it was reported that in the new system, taxis will only be called via digital applications, which will allow passengers to see the vehicle license plate, driver information, and route from the application. It was noted that problems such as passenger selection and excessive fee requests will be prevented, and a safe, registered, and traceable transportation model will be implemented. The statement also stated that the winners of the tender will have taxi license plates for 29 years with the assurance of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM). The following statements were included: "The system, which works integrated with digital taxi applications, offers investors a fixed and predictable income model. Thanks to the contactless payment option, regular tracking, and transparent operation, investors will be able to provide regular income every month. License plate rental applications, which have not been legal in Istanbul for years, are being recorded with this model. Vehicles included in the application will undergo the Vehicle Service Quality Compliance Control (TAHKUK) inspection every year. Quality will be kept under constant control with criteria such as vehicle equipment, driver behavior, cleanliness, and application integration."
