According to a report in Dagens Nyheter, a leading Swedish newspaper, a file detailing Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson's negotiations with Turkey to secure NATO membership was left in a restroom at Stockholm Arlanda Airport. The discovery, made headlines in the country, was made by a cleaning staff member who discovered the file, which contained diplomatic notes.

While details about the negotiations regarding Sweden's desire to join NATO have not been disclosed until now, according to the country's press, this scandal, which is said to have occurred after the visit to Türkiye, has caused chaos in the country.

The Prime Ministry Press Service released a statement regarding media reports. An employee confirmed that the files had been left at the airport, but noted that these were not classified as "confidential" documents and that no security investigation was necessary.
