Excavation truck overturns in Sultangazi: 1 injured

The accident occurred around 12:00 p.m. on Selçuklu Boulevard in the Cebeci neighborhood. According to reports, the excavation truck with license plate 34 DNL 409, driven by Burak Özkan, failed to negotiate a curve and ended up on its side. The overturned truck was dragged for several meters, scattering excavation materials on its dump truck onto the road.

The truck's fuel tank was punctured during the accident. Hundreds of liters of fuel spilled onto the road, and police closed the street due to the slippery road. Drivers were directed to alternate routes. Paramedics were dispatched to the scene and transported the slightly injured driver to Haseki Training and Research Hospital by ambulance. Firefighters worked to contain both the overturned vehicle and the spilled fuel.

An investigation into the accident has been launched.
