Arrest request for 2 people in operation at Avcılar and Beşiktaş Municipalities

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued detention warrants for seven municipal personnel in an operation targeting the Avcılar and Beşiktaş municipalities as part of the investigation into the "Aziz İhsan Aktaş criminal organization" targeting the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. The operation was conducted yesterday by teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Branch.

As part of the operation, five Beşiktaş Municipality employees and two Avcılar Municipality employees were detained. The seven detainees were referred to the courthouse after completing their procedures at the police station.

ARREST REQUEST FOR 2 PEOPLE

Of the 7 people whose statements were taken by the prosecutor's office, 2 were referred to the criminal court of peace with a request for arrest and 5 to judicial control.
