The concert of Greek artist Konstantinos Argiros will take place on July 9, 2025 at the Istanbul Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open Air Theater.

All proceeds from the concert, which will be held to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Private Zapyon Greek School, will be donated to the school's educational and cultural projects.

Speaking about the concert, Argiros said, “I want to express my excitement. I am looking forward to the concert. Music is a note in history, but I am not making a note in history alone. The mutual transfer of this love is very important. I hope that my love for music and the songs I have written will take us all on a journey together.”

Speaking about the interest his traditional music has received worldwide, Argiros said, “On top of the values I received from my family, I researched the Greek music culture and the musical values and musical history of other countries. Turkey is among these. I have been following the art of Turkish musicians very closely since my childhood. I try to express what comes from within me in my music with deep respect as much as possible.”

WILL STAGE IN ISTANBUL FOR THE FIRST TIME

When asked how he felt about coming to Istanbul for the first time, Argiros said, “I would like to state that I came here with great happiness and enthusiasm. It is a great pride to be giving a concert in your city for the first time. I have very old Turkish friends. Thanks to my Turkish audience, no matter where I give a concert, they never leave me alone. For example, my Turkish audience always comes to my concerts in America. I really wanted to visit them in their own country. I am waiting for the concert we will give with great excitement and happiness in order to reinforce the unifying effect of art and music here. My grandmother is from the Aegean coast. The air I breathed reminded me of my grandmother as soon as I arrived.”
