Konstantinos Argiros will give a concert in Istanbul for the first time in Türkiye

The concert, which will be organized with the slogan "First Time in Turkey!", will be presented to the audience by Sinkron Management Consultancy in memory of the 150th anniversary of the Private Zapyon Greek School in cooperation with Aegean Airlines, Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus, Jolly, Royal Motors, Invest Greece, Tulpar, Square Group, Keti-Kaan Terzioğlu and Muhtar Kent. The income from the concert will be transferred to the school's education and culture projects.

Meeting with members of the press at Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus before the concert, Argiros made statements regarding the concert.

Argiros stated that he was very excited to be in Istanbul and was looking forward to the concert, and said about his musical style, "After all the values ​​I received from my family while growing up, I researched the musical values, structures and histories of Greek music, culture and other countries' cultures. Turkey is also among these. I have been following Turkish artists closely since my childhood. I try to express what comes to my mind as much as possible by putting it into verse with deep respect."

Argiros, who stated that he came to Türkiye with great happiness and excitement, said, "It is a great pride for me to be giving a concert in your city for the first time. I have many Turkish friends whom I have been seeing for many years. My Turkish audience also follows me wherever I perform. Even when I give a concert in America, I encounter Turkish audiences. I really wanted to visit them in their own culture. I am looking forward to the concert that will be held to further strengthen the unifying effect of art and music here with great excitement and happiness."

Argiros underlined that his musical friendship with Türkiye is very deep and goes back a long way, and noted:

"There are artists that I have watched and listened to since my childhood. When I was little, I was a fan of Bülent Ersoy and İbrahim Tatlıses. I spent a lot of time with their sounds. İrem Derici also visited me during concerts in Greece and we met within the framework of cooperation. I am a jury member on Greece's 'O Ses' program, or The Voice. For this reason, I have a very close friendship with Acun Ilıcalı. Therefore, there may be collaborations with Turkey in the future. Greek and Turkish music collaborations already go back a long way. I will continue this as the new generation."

Argiros, who said that in all the concerts he has done in London, the US and in all the concerts he has done, he added a tone or something cultural to respect the musical culture of the country he is in, said, "There will be an addition, an arrangement in the concert here as well. There is already a ready program. However, I always add a piece from the musical culture of the country we are visiting out of respect. I haven't added it yet because the concert is two months away, but we will see something special for Türkiye in the concert."

Argiros stated that he wanted to be an actor when he was a child and said, "Then music won me over. After I started my musical journey, it took me here. I don't know how good or productive I can be as an actor, but even if I can't announce it right now, there will be a project in the future. I will also try my childhood dream of being an actor. I am saying it clearly that I will definitely write the music in the movie."

Stating that music evolves, develops and changes, Argiros said, "The new trends that have emerged over the years have definitely emerged because of a need for expression. Technology has also entered our lives and a hybrid music has emerged. I will include very nice surprises regarding this innovation and change in my next album."

Argiros emphasized that he was happy to attend the concert for the 150th anniversary of Zapyon, a deep-rooted institution, and said, "It is a note in history, apart from music. I am not making this note alone. The participation of you, the audience, and the mutual transfer of this love are very important. We will all make this note together. I hope that my love for music and the songs I write will take us all on a journey together, just as I find myself on a journey."
