Golden Saffron awards found their owners

The 26th International Golden Saffron Documentary Film Festival, held in UNESCO and Cittaslow City Safranbolu , ended with an award ceremony.
In the festival where 1605 films from 145 countries applied, 38 films made it to the finals and awards were presented to their winners in different categories.
Safranbolu Mayor Elif Köse, Safranbolu Culture and Tourism Foundation President Şefik Dizdar, academics, producers, directors and citizens attended the award ceremony held at the Safranbolu Municipality Leyla Dizdar Culture Center. Short trailers from the works participating in the competition were also presented to the audience during the night.
Speaking at the ceremony, Safranbolu Mayor Elif Köse stated that the festival has an important mission in terms of preserving the historical and cultural values of Safranbolu. Köse said, “The Golden Saffron Documentary Film Festival is not only an art event, but also an effort to create a memory that carries the past to the future. Each participating documentary leaves a mark on the spirit, history and culture of this city. As Safranbolu, we will continue to work to preserve and increase these marks.”
'SUHA ARIN EXHIBITION' IS WAITING FOR ART LOVERSIn addition, this year, the award for contribution to nature and documentary was given to documentary producer Serdar Kılıç, and the Türker İnanoğlu Cinema Honorary Award was given to master director and screenwriter Nesli Çölgeçen.
The 'Suha Arın Exhibition' opened at the Municipality Building in the Historical Bazaar as part of the festival will continue to welcome art lovers. It is possible to see photographs and films that shed light on the history of Safranbolu in the exhibition, which reveals the master director's works and the values he brought to documentary cinema.
