Bowen and Korsakov's works will meet music lovers

According to the statement made by ADSO, the concert will be given on May 16 at 20:30 in the Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) Aspendos Hall. The orchestra will take the stage under the baton of Italian conductor Alessandro Cedrone, who has made a name for himself in Türkiye and on international stages with a wide repertoire ranging from opera to symphony, and the soloist will be British artist Timothy Ridout. The first half of the program will feature York Bowen's Viola Concerto in C Minor, written for Lionel Tertis in 1907. The second half of the concert will feature Russian composer Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov's immortal work "Scheherazade."
Composed in 1888, this four-movement symphonic suite will bring the enchanting atmosphere of " One Thousand and One Nights" to the stage with rich orchestral colors.
