Awards were given at the Golden Plane Tree International Short Film Competition

A program was held at Panorama 1326 Bursa Conquest Museum for the winners of the competition organized with the theme "Short Name, Long Story". In the competition where 173 film applications were made, 24 of which were foreign, films in the "fiction, documentary and animation" genres were evaluated.
In the competition, where directors from various countries around the world participated, 14 films were evaluated by the jury members. As a result of the voting, Yakup Tekintangaç's work "Mori" was deemed worthy of the first prize. Ahmet Sami Kuriş's short film "Doğudan Gelenler" came in second, and Ali Rıza Bayazıt's work "Teamül" came in third.
Muhammet Emin Altunkaynak's "Çekiliş" film and Burkay Doğan's "Dinmeyenler" work were awarded with honorable mentions. The jury's special award was given to Abdullah Harun İlhan for his film "Özgür Kelimeler Gazzeli Bir Şair", while the "labor honorary award" was presented to the guest of honor, master actor Halil Ergün. Deputy Mayor of Osmangazi Mutlu Esendemir stated that the competition was very valuable and important for them, and noted that they wanted to be a locomotive city not only with the dynamics of the city but also in art, theater, classical music and opera. Master actor Halil Ergün also touched on the fact that the award he received was very valuable to him, and said, "Receiving this award in Bursa is even more valuable to me. My eyes are filled with tears. I would like to thank Osmangazi Municipality and those who contributed to the program for finding me worthy of this award. It is an exciting situation for works that have been produced with great effort to be put to the test. I congratulate the owners of the works that were awarded." Guest of honor Palestinian director Nevres Ebu Salih also stated that cinema offers artists the opportunity to say "Free Palestine". Underlining that art also liberates the soul, Salih said, "We liberate ourselves in this way. There are many stories in Palestine. I chose cinema to tell these stories. I would like to thank Osmangazi Municipality for organizing this beautiful night." He made a statement. Director Yakup Tekintangaç, who won the first prize, stated that the awards motivated him for future projects and thanked Osmangazi Municipality for the value they gave to the short film.
