Türkiye U16 Women's Water Polo National Team is the group leader in the European Championship

In the organization held at Beylikdüzü Sports Complex and attended by 15 European countries, the National Team defeated Slovakia 14-8, Czech Republic 10-9 and France 15-10. With these results, the Crescent-Stars achieved a significant success on their way to the quarter-finals.

The results of the National Team's group matches are as follows:

Türkiye 10 – 9 Czech Republic

Türkiye 15 – 10 France

Group C Standings are as follows;

Türkiye – 9 points

Czech Republic – 6 points

France – 3 points

Slovakia – 0 points

The comeback against the Czech Republic, especially in the second match, was one of the most remarkable moments of the tournament. Coming from 4 points behind, the National Team achieved a 3-1 and 3-0 advantage in the last two periods, respectively, and scored the winning point with only 14 seconds left in the match.

The championship, hosted by the Turkish Water Polo Federation and organized under the roof of European Aquatics, is important as an important platform where not only sporting achievements but also the development of young female athletes at the international level are supported.

Türkiye, as the group leader, will face Serbia today at 15:00 to advance to the quarter-finals.

The Women's European Championship will continue at the Istanbul Beylikdüzü Sports Complex until July 3. The U16 Men's European Championship will start at the same facility on July 7.
