Truck crashes into median, vehicle lands on its side: 2 injured

Two people were injured in a traffic accident that occurred as a result of a collision between a truck and a car in the Tarsus district of Mersin.

The accident occurred in the morning hours on Sait Polat Boulevard in the Öğretmenler Neighborhood. According to reports, an Isuzu pickup truck with registration number 33 ANH 882, driven by EA (52), collided with a car with registration number 33 NZV 23, whose driver is yet to be identified. The impact of the collision caused the pickup truck to lose control, hit the median strip, and come to a stop on its side.

After witnesses alerted the accident, medical and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The truck driver, EA, and his wife, TA (50), were extricated from the vehicle with the help of bystanders. Following first aid from the medical team, the injured were taken to Tarsus State Hospital by ambulance.

An investigation into the accident has been launched.
