AKP voters want early elections! Imprisoned İmamoğlu outperforms Erdoğan

Gündemar Research Company has published a survey it conducted for TELE1. The survey, conducted with 2,256 people across 60 provinces, asked citizens the following questions: "Which party would you vote for in an election where the AKP, MHP, and DEM Party formed an alliance?", "Do you want early elections?", and "What would your preference be in a presidential election contested by Ekrem İmamoğlu and AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan?"

According to the survey results, while AKP voters approached the early election request positively, CHP's imprisoned presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu widened the gap in the race with AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

AKP voters want early elections

When asked, "Do you think there should be early elections?", 65 percent of citizens said yes, 25 percent said no. The rate of those who said "I have no idea" was measured at 10 percent.

Of the citizens who said they would vote for the AKP, 46 percent said yes to early elections, 45 percent said no, and 9 percent did not express an opinion.

58 percent of MHP voters said yes to the early election question, while 36 percent said no. 6 percent left the question unanswered.

Among CHP voters who called for early elections, 89 percent said yes, 7 percent said no, and 4 percent left the question unanswered.

92% of DEM Party voters said yes to early elections. No DEM Party voter said no, while 8% did not respond.

IMAMOGLU IS AHEAD

56.8 percent of citizens who were asked their preference for the presidential election in which İmamoğlu and Erdoğan will run chose Ekrem İmamoğlu, while 43.2 percent chose Erdoğan.

In the presidential election, in which the AKP, MHP and DEM Party will enter as an alliance, 60.9 percent of citizens supported İmamoğlu and 39.1 percent supported Erdoğan.

CHP FIRST PARTY

Citizens also answered the question: "Which party would you vote for in the election where the AKP, MHP and DEM Party will enter as an alliance?"

Citizens supported the CHP with 38 percent, the AKP with 28.6 percent, the DEM Party with 8.3 percent, the Victory Party with 6.3 percent, and the MHP with 4.7 percent.

Citizens who answered the question "Which party would they vote for if there were an election this Sunday?" supported the CHP with 37.2 percent, the AKP with 28.9 percent, the DEM Party with 9.5 percent, the Victory Party with 6.4 percent, and the MHP with 5.2 percent.

There is no belief that terrorism will end

While 30 percent of citizens believe that the new initiative process will end terrorism, 58 percent said it will not end terrorism.

When asked whether the PKK's disarmament process convinced them, 22 percent of citizens said yes, 69 percent said no, and 9 percent did not express an opinion.

Citizens were also asked, "What would your reaction be if Öcalan were released?" To this question, 17 percent of citizens responded, "It's necessary for peace," while 71 percent said, "I would oppose it." Twelve percent left the question unanswered.

When asked how the AKP-MHP-DEM alliance was received, 24 percent of citizens said they found it positive, 58 percent said they found it negative, and 18 percent left no answer.
