Tottenham captain Heung Min Son blackmailed with 'fake pregnancy'

Heung Min Son, captain of English Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur and one of the most beloved names in South Korean football, was the victim of a blackmail attempt in his country.

The player's management company, Son & Football Limited, said they had filed a complaint with South Korean police and that an investigation was ongoing.

The agency said in a statement, "The police are currently investigating the incident. We will inform the public once the results are clear. We would like to emphasize that Heung Min Son is clearly the victim in this incident."

According to local media reports citing police sources, a woman in her 20s and a man in his 40s were detained.

The individuals in question allegedly tried to extort money from Heung Min Son by threatening her with a fake pregnancy story.

There is no official statement yet from the Seoul Gangnam Police Station, which is conducting the investigation.
