Steam boiler explodes in Bağcılar, 1 person injured

The explosion occurred in an ironing package workshop on 708th Street in Çınar Neighborhood, Bağcılar. When the steam boiler located in the outer section of the workshop suddenly exploded at around 11:15, 1 person was injured and 2 vehicles in the vicinity were damaged.

The teams' intervention continues

Following the explosion, many firefighters and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured were taken to hospital for treatment, while firefighters launched a detailed investigation into the cause of the explosion.

Statement from the governor's office

The Istanbul Governor's Office stated that the workplace where the explosion occurred was illegal and made the following statement on the subject:

"A steam boiler in an ironing package workshop in the Çınar Neighborhood of Bağcılar exploded in the outdoor section. One person was injured in the accident and was taken to the hospital by medical teams who reached the injured area. Due to the explosion, material damage occurred in the workshop and the vehicles outside. In the investigations, it was determined that the workplace was illegal and legal proceedings were initiated."

Authorities reported that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
